We will be taking our kids on a 7 night cruise this fall. Our son will be 11. Will he be required to have a jacket for the formal nights or would a vest and tie work? Thanks.

    Hi Corinne!

Welcome to the WDW Moms Panel!  I'm excited to hear about your upcoming voyage on Disney Cruise Line!  Your magical vacation will be here before you know it, and you will be sailing away into the sunset for seven days of fun!

You will see the younger cruisers in a variety of formal wear on formal night, and a vest and tie would fit in  perfect!  If your family is anything like mine, we don't "dress up" much at home so it is nice to be able to enjoy a fabulous dinner and have some great pictures taken on this particular night.  Mickey and all your favorite characters are also quite fancy on formal night so make sure to check your Personal Navigator, you daily newsletter, for photo times!

As your cruise vacation grows closer, please let me know if you have any other questions!  I'm happy to help!

    Have a wonderful day, Corinne!
