    Hi, I am taking my 3 kids on their first Disney cruise in Feb. on the Magic. What shops are located on board and can I purchase gift cards to use on the ship? Thanks so much!

    Congratulations on your first sailing on Disney Cruise Line! I'm sure your kiddos are counting the days until it is their turn to experience all Disney has to offer on the high seas! 
    You have asked a question about one of my favorite topics-shopping! On Deck Four midship, you will find Mickey's Mates and Treasure Ketch. You can purchase some wonderful Disney themed merchandise and exclusive Disney Cruise Line items in these shops!  Be sure to check your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, for hours of operation because the shops do have to close while the ship is in port due to U.S. customs regulations.
    Gift cards can be used onboard, but since the ship runs on a cash-free system, you will turn in any gift cards purchased to Guest Services to be credited to your onboard account.  All charges while on the ship will be linked to your credit card via your "Key to the World" card which is also your room key and photo pass!  You can check you onboard account balance at any time by stopping by Guest Services on Deck Three!
