Welcome to the Mom's Panel, Patricia! You will create so many magical memories with your grandson in February! Choosing a Walt Disney World Resort for our vacation is one of my favorite aspects of the planning process! If you will be spending the majority of your time at Magic Kingdom Park, you may want to consider staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort where you can easily travel to and from the park via the monorail or motor launch (water taxi.)
Disney's Polynesian Resort offers tropical theming, great dining locations, spacious guest room accommodations, and fun recreational activities. Follow the link I have provided to learn more. I would also recommend
Disney's Wilderness Lodge for "little boys." Inspired by the Great American Northwest National Park lodges from the turn of the 20th century, Disney's Wilderness Lodge is an architecturally grand Disney Deluxe Resort hotel. I have three boys myself and they love all of the recreational activities offered at this beautiful resort. Some of the activities your grandson may enjoy include catch and release fishing, Chip'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long, Fire Rock Geyser, beautiful pools, and Movies Under the Stars. If you are looking for a Resort in the Moderate category, consider Disney's Coronado Springs Resort which offers a Southwest-themed setting and features great recreational activities, a festive quick-service location, and an archeological-themed Dig Site - complete with the Jaguar Pool Slide at The Lost City of Cibola Pool. My favorite resorts in the Value category are Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a
Magical Trip with your grandson, Patricia!
Happy Planning,
Jodie
