We are taking grandson for his 6th birthday on 7 night cruise. We cannot swim out to Pelican plunge but will staff assist grandson out there?

    Ahoy Mary!
I can't think of a better gift for your grandson's 6th birthday than a Disney Cruise, and I always say that memories make the best gifts!
On the last full day of your cruise, you will be surrounded by the natural beauty of Disney's private island, Castaway Cay!  This little slice of Bahamian paradise will be the icing on the cake to your week long celebration!  I'm glad you asked this question because there are two spots at Pelican Plunge that require swimming.  Unfortunately, there are not lifeguards in the water to assist Guests so your grandson will need to swim over to the platform and swim from the slide back to the shore once he is done.  There are life jackets there for Guests to use so this may work if he is comfortable with the short swim with it on.
I'm sorry I didn't have better news, Mary. But, I hope my suggestion will work.
