Welcome back, Susan! You had asked about dolphin Port Adventures a few months ago, and I'm so glad to hear that you're still considering taking your granddaughter on one of these special adventures.
My seven-year old daughter and I just enjoyed our very first dolphin swim in Nassau at Blue Lagoon last month while sailing on the Disney Wonder. I can tell you that it was absolutely amazing. I would certainly not hesitate to swim with dolphins again after this wonderful experience. She is a huge dolphin lover and I really enjoyed seeing her face and hearing her happy squeals as she and I swam with these beautiful creatures.
As I mentioned to you in your last question, I have heard wonderful reviews of the dolphin swims in both Cozumel's
Dolphin Push, Pull and Swim at Chankanaab National Park and Grand Cayman's
Dolphin Extreme Swim and Turtle Farm. Having experienced the Turtle Farm myself, I would probably go for that one. Not only will you get to partake in the swim with dolphins, but you'll then have time to enjoy wandering the Turtle Farm, where your granddaughter can even get in the water with baby sea turtles! My son thought this was the greatest experience, and loved learning about the turtles while we were there.
The dolphin "swims" versus the dolphin "encounters" would be something I'd recommend as you'll get more time in the water and more interaction with these amazing creatures. We could have stayed in with them all day if we'd been allowed, but I was happy that we had more time than the others across the way who only did the encounter.
Happy planning, Susan!
