    We are taking our grandchildren, boy 12, girl 9 to Disney World June 11-17. What special events would be good to book in advance for their age?

    Thanks for reaching out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited for you and your grandkids. A visit to Walt Disney World Resort is an unforgettable experience. My kids are around the same ages and they love special food events.

    I recently had a chance to take part in Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise. It's a fun cruise around the Seven Seas Lagoon with delicious food and drinks leading up to the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular over Magic Kingdom Park.

    If that event is not available, I highly recommend the VIP experience at Epcot during the IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party. The view of the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth show is stunning and the food is absolutely delicious.

    You can also keep up with any new events that might sound like fun by reading the updates in the Disney Parks Blog. It's how I find out firsthand about new and exciting events to enhance an already magical visit.
