Hello! I am taking my 4 YO girl to DW for the first time and am overwhelmed. We are staying July 6-July 13 and have the 4 day tickets with park hopper. We don't want to be rushed so need help with best days for parks, char. dining, etc. Please help!! :)

Hi, Shannon!  With a little one at the theme parks in July, when it's going to be be pretty warm, I always recommend the extra magic hours in the morning.  Temperatures can soar into the 90s, with pretty high humidity, and one way to beat the heat and the crowds is to hit the theme parks early.  During your stay, there are morning extra magic hours in the morning at the Magic Kingdom on the 6th and 11th, Animal Kingdom on the 8th and 10th, EPCOT on the 12th, and Hollywood Studios on the 13th.  My family likes to be there at morning extra magic hours, then just after lunch, we might go back to the pool, or even move to another theme park, just to get some time on the monorail or the bus in the air conditioning.

Another consideration for you is your character dining.  Because dining reservations open up 180 days in advance, you may want to check what is still available for the meals you want to enjoy.  That may influence which days you go to which theme parks.  Again, though, I'd try to do the morning extra magic hours, but with your park hopper passes, you can move on to a different park for an evening dining reservation.  You can check restaurant availability by visiting Disney World Dining Reservations.

You'll have the luxury of spreading your days out, so you can do the parks every other day, at a more leisurely pace.  I think that will be a great plan for your first trip.

Don't get stressed!  If you're feeling overwhelmed, come on back, and we'll be happy to help you!
