Hi Maryann,
How exciting to be taking your boys on their first Walt Disney World vacation in October! There's nothing better than seeing the magic of Disney through your child's eyes.
As a mom of four children myself, I would not personally recommend having a stroller available for your 6 and 8-year-old sons based on my own experience. When visiting
Walt Disney World Resort, I have used a double stroller, two single strollers and a combination of a double and single stroller. During our first trip with our 15-month-old twins, we used a double stroller for the babies and a single stroller for my 6-year-old son. We realized the 6-year-old wanted to walk more and ended up using his stroller to store our bags. We found the twins preferred to be in their own stroller by age 3 so we started bringing two lightweight strollers that could be easily folded. If one of the twins ever wanted to walk and their older brother wanted to rest for a bit, they could trade places; however, neither twin wanted to use a stroller by age 5. We also found it to be much easier to maneuver single strollers in crowded areas of the park. With that being said, you know your children best. You can also
rent a stroller at the parks if the amount of walking becomes too much for your older boys.
I hope this information is helpful in making the best decision for your family. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Maryann!
Happy Travels,
Jodie
