Hi! We will be taking our first trip to WDW in November and we could not be more excited. We will be staying at Caribbean Beach for 8 nights. Are we able to request a microwave for our room? Also, please give me any tips you can for our very first trip!

    Hi Karah!

Oh Karah, you are going to have the most magical time of your life. I absolutely love staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Actually, I recently planned my best friends' very first trip to Walt Disney World Resort, and I selected Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort for her accommodations.

Microwaves for your room are not available; however, you will be able to use the microwaves located in the Centertown Market. If you are going to be using the microwave or visiting the food court a lot, I recommend that you upgrade to a preferred room, putting you closer to Old Port Royal, the main hub of the resort.

Karah, the parks are most crowded in the mid-afternoon. So my family likes to head out first thing in the morning and arrive as soon as the parks open.

My biggest advice to you would be to pick a few must-dos for each park. Be sure you get those done and then go with the flow of your family. Sometimes my little ones are in great moods and we spend the whole day in the park. Sometimes we have a case of the grouchys and need to get out of the heat for a little rest. In this case, we head back to our rooms for swimming or naps and arrive back at the parks refreshed in time for a few rides before the fireworks begin. Speaking of fireworks, you are coming at such a special time because you will be able to catch two brand new nighttime spectaculars!

Since you are staying for such a long time, I also recommend that you place an Instacart or Amazon order for a few essentials. We love to keep bottled water and sports drinks in the cooler that we bring into the parks. Just remember that no loose ice is allowed, so either use ice packs or just throw ice in a reusable bag to keep your drinks cool. We also order snacks and a few breakfast essentials, just to have around.

Since you have so many days, I recommend that you take it slow and not burn yourself out. Spend a day at the pool, or one exploring Disney Springs or Disney's BoardWalk. There are so many wonderful things to see outside of the parks.

Oh, be sure to download the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Trust me, it will be your best friend in the parks, allowing you to check wait times, locate specific rides, and even make and modify dining reservations.

As always, we are hEAR for you. So let us know if we can answer any other questions!

    Happy planning!
