I am taking my first trip to WDW in May since having bariatric surgery. Are there any food options for me where I can still get the full experience of WDW? Or can I order from children's menus for smaller portions?

    Dear Sara,

Thanks for reaching out to us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! First of all, congrats on what must have been a life-changing experience!

In terms of dining at the Walt Disney World Resort, I am confident that you will find many options that work for smaller appetites and also for following the guidelines that your physician and team have set forward for you to work with. You can absolutely order items from the kids' menu for any Quick-Service location, but at buffets or character meals with fixed pricing for adults, you would have to pay the adult price. Any Table-Service restaurant that has individual items to order will also allow you to order from the kids' menu.

Also, there are many snack options at the Walt Disney World Resort that might appeal to you and would allow you to taste all of the delicious options at Disney!

If for some reason none of these options work for you, you will find that the Walt Disney World Resort goes above and beyond to accommodate individual guest needs when it comes to dining options! I'm sure that the servers and chefs will be happy to work with you to find something that's exactly right.

I hope that helps you to have a magical time!
