Hi! We are taking our first trip to WDW in Dec of 08 and staying in a standard room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and I am a little worried about whether or not the construction of the new villas will affect our stay (noise, bus traffic, etc.). Any news?

You should be just fine!  Construction on the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) rooms in the main building is going quite well and should be completed soon.  After that the construction will be limited to work on the new dedicated buildings, called Kidani Village.  These outlying buildings are expected to be completed sometime in 2009.

Although there will be construction on the property, this village is not located extremely close to the main building, and depending on your room location you may not even be aware of any work at all.  Animals in that section of the savannah have been relocated, but the pool and bus service remain unaffected.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my family's favorite resorts on property; we even bought a DVC interest there!  You will love it I'm sure.

    Enjoy your stay!
