    We are taking our first trip to disney end of july 2013. I have two boys who will be 7 and 9. We are not staying in disney. Any tips or help would be appreciated. We will be there for three days with a hopper pass. Thanks!

    Jennifer,

    I would be glad to help out!

    First thing you should do is plan what park you want to visit on what day. Without knowing when you are there, a few general rules that should help you pick where to go is as follows;

    • Avoid the park with the Extra Magic Hours. That is where it will be the most busy, so going elsewhere means lighter crowds.
    • Try the Magic Kingdom first. This is the park with the most to do, and it is the most iconic. If you can start your park experience there, as well as have it be the last one you go to, that would be ideal.
    • Don't over-hop. I love having the Park Hopper option. But don't hop too much, as hopping between parks means time in transit, rather than on attractions.
    • Pair your days. With three days, I would have a day where you went to Animal Kingdom in the morning, then Epcot for the afternoon/evening. With this you might miss out on Soarin' at Epcot, but you really get more out of your day in general at both parks. With your other two days, I would do a full day at the Magic Kingdom, and a day where you split between the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
    Remember that if you park at one of the parks during a given day, you get to park for 'free' at the other parks, so hold on to your receipt from your first stop.

    If you would like me to recommend what park on what day, write me a question directly (just mention my name in the question) with dates you are going to the parks, and I can offer some more detailed help. Also if you need dining suggestions, I am glad to oblige!

    Have a magical vacation!
