We will be taking our first ever Disney Trip in February 09. I was just wondering if there were any must see or rides that we should consider? My son is 8.

Hey Trisha and congratulations on your first trip to WDW.  Everyone you ask might give you a different answer on what their favorite rides are at the parks.  First, I would consider your son's age, his height and what he enjoys.  Is he tall enough to ride such rides like the Rock N Roller Coaster at Disney Hollywood Studios or would he more enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom?  You might want to purchase him a book, let him go through and look at all the rides at each park, and then plan from there.  Most of the books about Disney for kids do include height requirements, if the ride is scary, etc.
I personally love all rides.  I would never miss a chance to ride Rock N Roller Coaster (DHS), Expedition Everest (AK) or Test Track at Epcot.  And shows!!!! They are endless and all so fantastic.  I am thinking he would love the stunt car show at DHS and a personal favorite of mine is Fantasmic, which is also at DHS.  And be sure not to miss out on his first ride on Dumbo and It's A Small World, sometimes the classics are the best!  Have a magical vacation!
