Hi I am taking my first Disney Cruise next October. We fly to Fort Lauderdale and sail from Port Everglades. We have two kids who use carseats but we want to leave them at home, so no Uber. What are our options traveling from airport to port and back?

    Hi Cassandra,

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question! We are glad you are here.

One of the best things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is the opportunity to book Ground Transfers, making your trip from the local airport to the port terminal a breeze. You will be happy to know that you may leave those car seats at home when you book Disney Ground Transfers. Transfers between Fort Lauderdale International Airport and Port Everglades are by motorcoach buses, which do not utilize car seats onboard.

Currently, the cost of Ground Transfers to Port Everglades for October 2024 is $29 per person. Children aged 3 and under are free. (Prices are subject to change.) I highly recommend booking in advance by calling Disney Cruise Line.

It sounds like you will be sailing aboard a Halloween on the High Seas itinerary! You will have a spook-tacular time on this special cruise filled with fun for everyone. I love the Character greetings and seeing Characters in their Halloween finest. Be sure to check the Character schedule in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App when you board the ship. I like to select the heart icon next to the ones I don't want to miss so the app sends me a reminder.

I hope this information is helpful to you, Cassandra. Please sail by again if you have other questions.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
