Ahoy, Laura!
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for sailing by with your question!
I’m so excited for you...your first
Disney Cruise with your three kids? You’re going to make so many magical memories together! When our boys were little, we always chose the early
rotational dining seating, too. It worked really well with their energy levels, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the shows (and dessert!) without feeling rushed.
Since you’re scheduled for the 5:45 PM dinner, your assigned live show time will be the 8:00 PM performance each night. That said, you’re absolutely not locked into the main dining rooms every evening. If you want to switch it up one night and catch the early show instead, you totally can! You can grab a bite from the pool deck’s quick service locations, or enjoy one of our family’s favorite perks: room service.
Room service is included in your cruise fare and available 24 hours a day. You’ll find everything from chicken tenders and mac & cheese to Buffalo wings, salads, and even Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars! I always added a warm cookie to my order (because… vacation). Just remember to have a few dollars or small bills handy to tip your room service Cast Member, as gratuities aren’t automatically included.
And yes, the shows are truly spectacular. They’re Broadway-style productions filled with Disney magic, music, and heart. My kids were always captivated, and honestly, so was I! Skipping the main dining room one night to see an earlier show can be a great way to slow things down and enjoy your evening at your own pace.
I hope this helps as you get ready to set sail! Wishing you and your kiddos the most magical first Disney Cruise filled with laughter, adventure, and maybe a few extra cookies from room service.
"Sea" ya real soon,
Eean
