We are taking our first Disney Cruise - flying in the night before and will have bus transportation to pier. Does Disney send Etags for your luggage so it is sent to the correct location? If so, when do we receive them.

    Ahoy, Linda!

I'm thrilled to hEAR you are booked on your inaugural voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line this summer! You'll enjoy a vacation filled with magic and wonder as you set sail on a high sea adventure with your favorite Disney Pals!

It looks like from the sail date you listed you are cruising on the gorgeous Disney Dream to the beautiful Bahamas. Disney Cruise Line luggage tags will be mailed to you about a month prior to your departure. Since you are arriving the day before you set sail, you'll want to wait to put those on your luggage until you arrive at your hotel. These tags will have your name, reservation number, stateroom number, ship name and sail date on them so your luggage will arrive safely outside your stateroom door on the afternoon of embarkation. If you are staying at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, you can take advantage of luggage pick-up from your hotel room on the morning of your cruise if you are utilizing Disney Cruise Line ground transportation. If you are staying at the Walt Disney World Resort, your luggage will also be picked up from your hotel room and delivered to the ship. But, if you are staying at another airport area hotel, you'll bring your tagged luggage with you to check-in where a Cast Member will take it to be delivered to the ship.

Since you won't have your luggage with you until later in the afternoon on your embarkation day, be sure to pack a day bag with items you may need like medications, passports and/or birth certificates, cruise documents, bathing suits and sunscreen (if you are planning to swim the first afternoon).

Linda, thank you for sending in your question. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your cruise! We are always happy to help.
