We are taking our first Disney Cruise in February on the Dream. It's a 3 night to Nassau/Castaway Cay. I haven't seen anything about a Captain's dinner or the need for any "dressy" attire for dinners. What clothes should we pack for dinners?

    Hi there Tammy!

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  As one of the Disney Cruise Line Specialists,  I'm thrilled you have chosen to embark on one of Disney's beautiful ships!

Disney Cruise Line (DCL) has a rotational dining program that you are going to love.  Each night of your cruise your family will dine in a different dining room but with the same servers!  The first night of your cruise will be cruise casual.   My husband usually wears a collared type shirt with khaki pants while I enjoy wearing a sundress or blouse with pants.  My daughter also likes sundresses and capri outfits. My young son wears a pair of khaki shorts with a collared shirt like his dad.  The second night of your cruise will be Pirate Night or cruise casual.  Many families will transform from landlubbers into pirates for the evening's festivities .  If you don't have time to get costumes before your cruise, there are some available onboard in Mickey's Mainsail.  The third night is considered "dressy night."  Although you will see some tuxedos and full length gowns,  my family tends to be a bit more casual.  My husband will wear his suit, and I will wear a cocktail dress.  This is my daughter's favorite night because she loves to dress like one of the Disney princesses!

I hope you have the most magical time onboard the Disney Dream.

    Bon Voyage!
