We are taking our first DCL vacation 10/28/17. We are thinking of booking a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience for our 10yr old daughter. Is it worth the cost? She wants a princess Belle makeover; are the actual princess costumes a nice quality?

Welcome aboard, Shannon! Congratulations on booking your very first Disney Cruise Line vacation!

I highly recommend that you book a princess makeover for your daughter in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Since this is your first cruise, you'll be able to begin booking these types of fun extras 75 days prior to sailing. Keep in mind that reservations are popular and go quickly, so log into your reservation online on that 75th day prior to the cruise, so you can snag any must-do's!

If your daughter has never had a makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Walt Disney World or Disneyland before, then she's really in for a treat, and this is the best time to let her experience it - before she gets too old! The magic of a princess makeover is so special! My daughter has had makeovers at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and on the ships. Our most special experiences were definitely onboard. The sparkle in her eye and the huge smile when the Fairy Godmother-in-Training spun her chair around to reveal her finished makeover was just priceless. We have it all on video, and it still brings a tear to my eye to see her so happy. She loved the royal treatment she received at the makeovers, and walked with head held high throughout the ship the rest of the day. When she ran into Snow White in the ship's hall after having a Snow White makeover, it was the highlight of her cruise! I can still see the two of them skipping around hand in hand in matching outfits, smiling ear to ear! Pure magic!

The costumes are fabulous Disney quality, and the same ones you'd find in the parks, so know that you're getting a really beautiful costume, but even more special, a very memorable experience! Have fun planning, Shannon, and please stop back with other questions as you get ready to set sail. We're happy to help!
