We will be taking our first cruise ( 3 Night Bahamian Cruise) on the Disney Dream at the end of April. Can you tell me how the dining works on the ship and when we are at our ports?

    Ahoy Lisa!
Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Dining is one of my favorite Disney Cruise Line topics because the food, service, and dining atmospheres are all amazing!  Each morning, you will have several choices to start your day such as room service, Cabanas (casual food court), Enchanted Garden, and Royal Palace.  At lunch, similar options to breakfast are available in addition to Flo's Cafe, a quick service dining location including Fillmore's Favorites, Luigi's Pizza, and Tow Mater's Grill.  Hot dogs, pizza, chicken fingers, burgers, french fries and more are what you can expect to pick-up at this Cars themed eatery!  At dinner, you will be enchanted with Disney Cruise Line's exclusive rotational dining experience!  Each evening you will rotate to a differently themed restaurant in which your family will be immersed in Disney storytelling at its finest!  The same servers will accompany you each night and provide your family with phenomenal service while you enjoy the delicious cuisine!  If you would like to try an adult-only dining experience, Palo and Remy are open for dinner each evening for those over the age of 18.  Both are located twelve decks above the sea with sweeping oceanviews and delectable dishes from Italy (Palo) and France (Remy).  An additional fee is required for these restaurants, and reservations must be made on the Disney Cruise Line website or once aboard.
When the ship is docked in Nassau, your meals ashore are not included in your cruise fare.  There will be plenty of dining options on the ship if you want to wait until you are back onboard to eat.  On Castaway Cay, a delicious BBQ lunch is available at Cookie's BBQ and Cookies Too.
All hours of operation for the dining venues will be listed in your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, so be sure to check it each day.
I hope this helps, Lisa.  Please keep me posted if you think of any other questions before the big day!
