We are taking our very first cruise next summer. We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary. I was wondering if anyone has ordered a cake onboard. I wanted to know the difference in the "Celebrate Today" and the "Specialty Cakes".

    Ahoy, Amanda!
I can't think of a better way to celebrate a wedding anniversary than on a Disney Cruise! My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary on our sailing last summer, and it was very magical! We enjoyed both a Palo dinner and brunch to make number 15 extra special.
I'm glad you asked this question because I do have some cake ordering experience from our past sailings. When we ordered the "Celebrate Today" cake it was a small round cake with some confetti sprinkled around the edges with no writing on the cake. Although it only comes in chocolate or vanilla, it was the perfect size for our family of four. On the other hand, the "Specialty Cakes" come in various sizes and can be customized by icing, cake flavor and filling type. The cake can be decorated with a special message unlike the "Celebrate Today" cake. If you decide to order a cake, the order needs to be placed seven days prior to departure.
I'm so glad I was able to assist you with more cruise questions, Amanda! Please keep us posted if you think of anything else!
    Have a magical day!
