We are taking a family trip to Disney next December. There are about 25 going, one will be proposing to his girlfriend during fireworks at Magic Kingdom. Wanted to know what options we had to have a photographer close by to capture a few shots?

    Hi there, Mary!

I actually just helped a friend pull off a surprise proposal at the Magic Kingdom last year at Christmas! In all the years and all of my visits, I think it was the most fun I've ever had at Walt Disney World.

The good news is that you can always find a Disney's PhotoPass Photographer nearby. All I had to do when I helped with the proposal last year was to snag one of the photographers and let them know what was going to take place. They were so cooperative! I pointed out the groom-to-be and the unsuspecting bride-to-be to them, and the photographer sort of just lurked around until the moment of the proposal. They were so awesome. The happy couple ended up with dozens of photos to choose from.

You might even want to purchase Memory Maker. This will give you all of your Disney PhotoPass photographs, with unlimited digital downloads. It's a great way to save all the magical memories of a family vacation - and with 25 of you going, there are going to be lots of memories to be made!

There's also professional help available. Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons can also set you up with an expert at getting engaged. They'll help plan location, inspire ideas, and walk you through the whole thing.

Have an absolutely magical time, Mary. And best wishes to the happy couple!
