Hi, I am taking my family for the very first time to Disney world. we are taking a early flight on June 15. I need some advice what to do for our first day?

I am of the opinion that what you do that first day sets the mood for the entire vacation. Especially on your first visit! There are three ways to take this.

    1. If you arrive early enough to consider going to a theme park, then make it the Magic Kingdom. Check in to your resort (use Online Check-In to speed up the process), and then head over. Take your time on Main Street and take in the 'streetmosphere'.  Let yourself get transported into the magic.
    2. If you feel that a full day of park access might be wasted on a 'partial' day at the parks, then enjoy your resort. Check in, and then explore your resort. Go swimming. Do the relaxing things that you would otherwise do on a beach vacation. That really signals to everyone that they are on vacation. But more importantly, plan a really great dinner at one of the resorts. Something fun, like Whispering Canyon Cafe, Hoop Dee Doo Review, or 'Ohana is what I would recommend.
    3. A third option is to find some activity (miniature golf, horseback riding, fishing) that is of interest to you and try that out.

I like option 2 for our family, but all are good!

I am glad to help further. Just send me more questions from my bio page and we can plan more!

    Have a magical vacation!
