Hi Alexis,
I'm SUPER excited to hear that you're planning your very first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! You and your family are going to have a BLAST and make memories together that you'll cherish forever! With the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival going on
and the Resort beginning to
switch into holiday mode, November is a great time to visit!
My family often travels in November, and my number one tip for you is to pack layers. Daytime temperatures are still generally pretty nice, with the average high for the month being in the upper 70s. Shorts and t-shirts are usually fine for daytime. It can be a bit chilly in the evening or early morning, though, and we often like to bring sweatshirts with us. Now, I will say that I've been there in November when we needed jeans, jackets and gloves, too, but that's not the norm. One other layer I'd recommend packing is some rain gear. It's not uncommon for an afternoon shower to pass through in Florida, so we always bring ponchos for everyone so that a little rain doesn't ruin any fun. Just be sure to keep your eye on the weather forecast as you're packing to make sure that you're prepared!
I'm also happy to let you know that unless a pool is undergoing maintenance or there is severe weather in the area, all of the
Disney Resort hotel pools are heated and open year-round. My kiddos never seem to care much about the outdoor temperature; they're just happy to be swimming, especially when we visit during a time of the year when outdoor swimming in Indiana isn't possible!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Alexis, and please feel free to come back and see us again with any other questions. I hope that you have a truly magical first visit and that all of your Disney dreams come true!
Missy
