We are taking 2 families to Disney over thanksgiving 2014. Children's ages range from 14 to 3. We are trying to decide between the Port Orleans Riverside and Art of Animation. Any suggestions that you may have for deciding would be appreciated.

    Hi Pam,

Disney at Thanksgiving is the beginning of the holiday season with extra pixie dust in the air for guests of all ages.

I love Port Orleans Riverside! It is my favorite moderate resort and my family has enjoyed many vacations at the Magnolia Bend Mansions. The food court is delicious and the pool is old fashion fun!

Art of Animation is Disney's newest resort. The family suites are great because you have a separate sleeping area, a kitchenette and two full bathrooms. This makes it easy to get ready in the morning to head out the door to tour the parks. Plus the food court, Landscape of Flavors, is one of the best places to eat. There is a variety of food and it is all fresh and delicious.

If you can afford to stay at the Art of Animation, I would choose this resort. This will give you more space and flexibility.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
