    Hi. We are taking the Disney Wonder from Galveston for 4-nights 31 Dec-4Jan. It's our first cruise ever. Are there any weather related clothing we need for the cruise? We live in TX also. Can we use command hooks to hang items as they remove easily?

    Welcome aboard, Tonya! Congratulations on booking your very first cruise with Disney! I just know that this will be a very magical cruise for you - especially since you'll be sailing over New Year's Eve!

    Since you live in Texas, you're familiar with the temperatures there in December. However, remember that you'll be heading south, and the Caribbean usually has temperatures in the 70's and 80's even in the winter. That being said, do pack a few sweaters or jackets for chilly nights and breezy days at sea. 

    Disney has updated its policy on decorations and wall hangings to include those Command hooks as one of the non-acceptable items, as when removed incorrectly can damage the walls and doors. Magnetic hooks are great, as are hanging organizers that have a clothing type hanger at the top and can be hung on the towel rods or in the closet. Over-the-door holders are not allowed as those, too, can damage the paint and doors. We've also brought little suction cup hooks that suction onto the verandah door or bathroom wall, and those have worked nicely for hanging extra things! Magnets are allowed on the doors.
