Hello. We are taking the Disney Majic to the Carribean this year, in 2012. From previous answers I have read, there is a public beach within walking distance from the ship in Costa Maya, but how do we get more information about exactly where it is?

Ahoy Kathryn!

I am excited you will be embarking on the gorgeous Disney Magic for a fun-filled week sailing around the Caribbean!

On several of my previous cruises, I have visited Costa Maya. When you get to the end of the pier, you will see a shopping area with shops, restaurants and even a swimming pool. The beach in walking distance is not a beach for swimming due to the rocks located in and around it.

If you are looking for a Port Adventure, the Jungle Beach Break and Beach Buffet would be a great way to spend your time on the beautiful Costa Maya. This tour lasts about three hours and includes activities such as soccer, kayaking, and volleyball. If you have little ones, sand toys are also provided.
