Welcome to planDisney, Janet! We’re so glad you decided to sail by with your question. I’m happy to help you plan your festive attire so you can start thinking about what to pack for your holiday voyage!
You must be getting so excited for your upcoming
Very Merrytime Cruise aboard the
Disney Fantasy. I took my first one last year on the Wish, and let me tell you, you’re in for such a treat! One of my favorite moments is the Tree Lighting Ceremony on the first night in the ship’s atrium, where Santa Claus himself makes a grand appearance.
While themed nights are always subject to change, your itinerary is currently scheduled as follows:
• Day 1: Casual Evening
• Day 2: Casual Evening
• Day 3: Pirate Night
• Day 4: Mickey & Minnie’s Holiday Party Evening
• Day 5: Optional Dress-Up Evening
On Pirate Night, you’ll see everything from full pirate costumes to simple T-shirts and bandanas. There are themed activities, a special dinner menu, and an unforgettable deck party under the stars.
For Mickey & Minnie’s Holiday Party on Christmas Eve, Guests love to get into the holiday spirit with festive outfits, such as Christmas sweaters or sparkly seasonal attire. On Christmas Day, which is your optional dress-up night, many families choose outfits in classic holiday colors like red, green, plaid, or velvet (and don't forget to pack your holiday Minnie ears if you have them). It’s the perfect time for special photos by the grand Christmas tree in the atrium. You’ll also have a chance to meet Santa, and each ship has its own gingerbread house that’s a must-see. And don’t be surprised if you see whole families in matching holiday pajamas after dinner...it’s part of the fun!
If you want to make your stateroom extra merry, you can pre-order holiday décor packages through Onboard Gifts on the Disney Cruise Line website or in the
DCL Navigator app. Also, you’ll find the full schedule of holiday entertainment, themed activities, and your dining rotation once you’re onboard and connected to the ship’s Wi-Fi through your Navigator app.
I Ho-Ho-Hope this helps, Janet! Wishing you the most magical holiday sailing!
Sea ya real soon,
Eean
