Welcome aboard Julie!
Disney is so good at planning all the details for guests, and that includes making it as easy as can be to check in for your flights onboard the ship. If you are using Disney Cruise Line's ground transfers from the ship back to the airport, Disney will even take care of your luggage for you. You can participate in the Onboard Airline Check-In program for most airlines.
Currently, the following airlines participate in Onboard Airline Check-In:
AirTran
Alaska Airlines
American
Continental
Delta
JetBlue
United
US Airways
As you complete your online-check in for the ship before you leave home, you'll see that there is a place to enter your flight info. Be sure that is complete so Disney has your flight details.
Simply let the agents at Port Canaveral know that you'll be using Onboard Airline Check-In when you first check in for the cruise on embarkation day. They'll add that note to your reservation and you will then receive a letter in your stateroom the night before you disembark with details and instructions along with boarding passes for your flight and baggage tags. Simply set your luggage out with those tags the night before you disembark and you'll see your bags at baggage claim back at your home airport. It really couldn't be any easier!
Should you be traveling on another airline, and still wish to check in before you disembark, you always have the option of purchasing
internet data time onboard and checking in online while on the ship.
I hope those details help! Have a great cruise!
