We're taking the 8 day cruise out of New York. I own my own blog and business. Is there internet access, WiFi, or 3G available on the boat? Do I have to wait until we are ports to access anything? Will I need an international phone to text and check email?

    Hi Staci!

I'm excited you will get to experience the beautiful Disney Magic out of your home state of New York!

Wi Fi will be available onboard the Magic. Disney Cruise Line offers several internet packages ranging from" pay as you go" up to 500 minutes.  Guest Services will provide you with a Wi Fi Info Sheet with all the information needed to surf the net at sea!  Although you may get a connection in your stateroom, your best bet is the various "hot spots" located around the ship.  I have used the internet successfully on all my cruises and did notice the service is a bit slower onboard.

Cellular at Sea is a great way to stay connected while cruising.  Make sure to contact your specific provider to discuss data and international roaming charges that may apply when you use your phone.

I hope this information helps you stay connected while sailing down the Atlantic!
