I will be taking my daughters (12 and 14) to WDW in October. They would like to dine with characters however I do not wish to eat. Would we be charged for 3 meals, even if I'm not eating?

    Dear Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for checking in with us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about character dining.

I totally understand about how it can be challenging to set up plans for some of your family members but not others, but in the case of character meals, all guests who are present must pay for their reservation even if they're not eating. The cost for these meals includes both the experience of meeting and greeting the given characters and the meal itself.

Perhaps you can look through some of the menus and see if there are meals that DO appeal to your tastes so that all three of you can have a terrific experience!

Moms Panel tip - Advanced Dining Reservations can be made up to 180 days before your check-in date, and early reservations are definitely recommended for character meals especially, since they are very popular!

    Hope that helps!
