Welcome aboard, Jennifer! Your daughter must be nominating you for "Mom Of The Year", since she's so lucky to get you all to herself on a Mother-Daughter cruise on the Dream this fall! I've taken each of my kids on individual cruises, a Mommy-Son trip and a Mommy-Daughter trip, as well as our family cruises, and those special cruises have been such wonderful experiences for us! You're in for so much magic and many great memories!
While there are not character meals onboard the Dream, there are plenty of opportunities to meet and interact with your favorite Disney characters onboard. When you arrive, you'll receive your first Personal Navigator. This is a schedule of the ship's events and activities for each day. One entire line of the schedule is dedicated to character greetings, so take a look and see when your favorites will be out to meet guests. Bring your camera and autograph book, as it's a great time to pose for a photo and get a special signature. Of course, Disney Cruise Line's photographers will be available to snap pictures for you too, and those can later be viewed at
Shutters, the onboard photography shop.
I don't want to ruin too much of the surprise, but let's just say that Mickey will make an appearance at
Animator's Palate during the amazing show that is presented at dinner that night. You won't want to miss it.
Have fun planning, Jennifer, and please stop back with any other questions you might have before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
