    I am taking my daughter on her first Disney cruise this summer. she will be 1 month away from turning three so she will need to go to the nursery. She is shy and tends to cry at first when going to new daycare. Will the counselors know how to handle this?

    I am so excited for you and your daughter to make such magical memories together on your very FIRST Disney cruise!  Experiencing those "Disney firsts" always has me catching all sorts of feelings watching my young pirates' faces light up.  Get ready as you are about to embark on a pixie dusted high seas adventure you will remember forever!

    I remember my daughter's first time in the youth clubs onboard the Disney Magic.  What helped ease her anxiety about being in a new place was visiting these spaces during the open house on embarkation day.  Check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for details on when you can visit the "it's a small world" nursey on your embarkation day!

    The Youth Counselors do a great job of making each pirate feel welcome when they visit the youth clubs.  During open house time, my daughter and I take a moment to meet the counselors together and explore the space, so she is familiar with the layout.  It has really helped her feel comfortable when my husband and I were away enjoying the onboard fun!  Also, during your sailing you will have access to a wave phone found in your stateroom, so you are always just a phone call away!
