Welcome aboard, Carolyn! Disney Cruise Line is the perfect vacation for everyone in the family, from
little ones to adults and everyone in between!
My kids adore the
Disney Cruise Line Youth Clubs. You didn't mention how old your kiddos are, but if they're three and up (and fully potty-trained), there is no need to make reservations for the Youth Clubs. Kids in the
Oceaneer Lab and
Oceaneer Club can be checked in by their parents at any time. There are activities going on all day, and late into the night, which keep the kids fully entertained and engaged and begging to go back from more.
Younger children, under three (or three year-olds who aren't fully potty trained) also have a club of their own.
"it's a small world" nursery is the spot for them. This nursery does require advanced reservations, which you can make prior to sailing. That's the dilemma, though, I know. When will you want to head out for some adult exclusive fun and need that child care? If you are booking a brunch or dinner at the adult exclusive
Palo or
Remy, you can make dining reservations and then also book the nursery at the same time. However, for other activities, the schedule isn't finalized until you set sail, and you'll be able to view it on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once onboard. While the schedules and activities are always subject to change, including
onboard movie show times, you could get a rough idea of what to expect by doing a web search for Disney Cruise Line Personal Navigator and specify your ship and itinerary. Sometimes previous guests will upload photos of their paper schedules from the ship so other guests can view them. That might give you an idea of what to expect.
Also, if there is still space available in the nursery, you're welcome to book additional hours once you're onboard and you have the activities schedule in hand.
I hope that helps as you prep for the big adventure, Carolyn!
