Ahoy, Joann!
I'm also planning a spring sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line and can't wait to bask in the glow of the sun in the Caribbean real soon! It won't be easy to disembark the
Disney Fantasy after a week of experiencing the magic of Disney at sea, but I hope the unforgettable memories you take with you will help.
At this time, Disney Cruise Line does not offer Port Adventures on the day of disembarkation from
Port Canaveral. I'm not sure of your transportation plans, but if you have access to a rental car, you do have a few options to consider. If you want to stay close to the port, I suggest checking out the Kennedy Space Center or the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Museum. These are fantastic choices if you have any space or aviation fans in your group.
Do you think you'll need one more dose of Disney magic before heading home? If so, I recommend using your rental car to head over to
Disney Springs! If you haven't been recently, this will be the perfect opportunity to explore all the new shopping retailers like Uniqlo, Pandora, Coca-Cola and Kate Spade. Did you know there are currently 55 dining options at Disney Springs and more opening soon? After shopping and checking out the entertainment areas, you can grab a bite to eat before heading to the airport. Many of the restaurants take Advanced Dining Reservations so you can plan ahead or visit a quick service option like Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, D-luxe Burger or Earl of Sandwich. And you may want to save room for one more vacation indulgence from Sprinkles, Amorette's Patisserie or one of my favorites, Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop.
Good luck with your plans, Joann! Thank you for continuing to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
