We are taking a cruise onboard the Magic in March 2012. We are starting to pack and having some trouble deciding what to pack clothes wise. I don't want to over pack, but want to make sure I have appropriate clothing for the dining. Thanks!

    HiEric!

Your magical March sailing on the Magic is almost here!  I hope you are ready for a fun-filled week onboard this magnificent vessel.  I have cruised many times, and I am guilty of over packing for most of my past voyages.  Here are my best tips to try to avoid too much baggage!

During the day, you will most likely be in bathing suit attire or casual clothes such as shorts and t-shirts.  At night, you will want to "dress up" a little more for the amazing dining experiences.  My husband and son usually wear khaki pants and polo shirts on casual nights while my daughter and I wear sundresses or pants with coordinating tops.  To minimize bringing  a whole suitcase full of shoes, I bring a couple of pairs that match several outfits.  There are two dressy nights-formal and semi-formal night.  I suggest wearing your dressiest outfits on these nights-suits and ties or sports coats and dress pants for the men and boys and dresses or nice pants suits for the ladies!  If you have a little princess, she is welcome to dress like Disney royalty on  these nights.  You will also have a pirate themed night, and many Guests like to dress-up in pirate attire for a swashbuckling good time.  Pirate merchandise is available onboard for purchase in Mickey's Mates on Deck Four if you need any last minute items.

Another great planning tip is to utilize the self-service laundry facilities onboard.  There are three laundry rooms on the Magic located on Deck Two, Six, and Seven.  It is about $5.00 per load, and you can bring your own detergent or purchase it out of the vending machine.  Irons are also available for use in these facilities.

Good luck with your final preparations!  Please let me know if you have any other last minute questions!

    Bon Voyage!
