We are taking a cruise on the Fantasy in Dec. I wondered if there is a way for my teenage daughters to workout while on the cruise. They are very athletic and the "stretch with Goofy" just won't be enough, and the workout facility says it is for

    Ahoy Adina!

Cruising on the brand-new Fantasy during the ship's first holiday season at sea sounds spectacular!  I hope your family is looking forward to navigating around this magnificent 130,000 ton vessel!

As someone who exercises daily and always utilizes the Fitness Center on board, I understand your girls wanting to keep up with their workout routine while cruising.  I spoke directly with Disney Cruise Line about your question and was told that the facilities are for Guests 18 or older.  The representative did suggest you and your girls head to the Fitness Center after you board the ship and speak with the crew members there about your particular situation.

If they don't allow your girls to work out, there are still ways for them to stay active during your voyage.  On Deck Four, there is a jogging track they might enjoy using.  I have jogged on board at different times of the day and have never found it too crowded.  The Goofy Sports Deck has a full size basketball court, and there are often games of basketball, dodgeball, free throw contests, and table tennis tournaments.  Vibe, the teen club, also uses the sports deck for various athletic activities that they might want to participate in.  During your visit to Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, there are ample opportunities for fitness such as sand volleyball, badminton, sand soccer, and yoga!  To stay up-to-date on all these opportunities and more check your Personal Navigator, your daily cruise newsletter, each day!

I hope my suggestions help!  I'd like to assist you further if you have any more questions about your cruise.  Just let me know!

Have a magical day and thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!
