Ahoy there, Art,
Welcome aboard planDisney!
Congratulations on your upcoming sail with Disney Cruise Line! One of my favorite things about setting sail with Captain Mickey and Minnie is the handy
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. The app makes exploring the ship and all the onboard activities, entertainment, and dining options and staying connected with my fellow cruisers with the Onboard Chat a breeze.
Art, I’m happy to let you know that there is no cost for connecting to the ship’s Wi-Fi network when used only for the Navigator app for iOS or Android devices.
Transforming the app into Onboard Mode is simple. First, remember to download the latest update to the Navigator app and place your device in airplane mode prior to boarding. Once you make your way inside the terminal or onto the ship, connect to the DCL-Guest WiFi and follow the prompts and you will be on your way to smooth sailing.
Now, if you would like to utilize the internet while on board, there are a variety of internet options available through Connect@Sea. Once on board, access the DCL-GUEST Wi-Fi network to explore the various data packages and pricing. I appreciate how the plan is billed to your stateroom folio and you can use the data plan on as many devices as you like.
Art, I’ll offer one more tip to make the most of the Navigator app: set activity reminders so that you don’t miss out on your reservations, shows or other events because you are too busy lounging by the pool!
Thanks again for cruising by planDisney and don’t hesitate to let us know if we can answer any more of your vacation planning questions.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
