Welcome to the Moms Panel, Jessica!
I'm so excited to hear you will be embarking on your first adventures on the high seas with Disney Cruise Line! I hope it is the first of many magical voyages with Captain Mickey and his seafaring crew!
There is so much included in your cruise fare, but there are a few extras that you may want to budget for your vacation, and it is smart to plan ahead. All your onboard charges will be linked to the credit card you have connected to your reservation. Basically, the ship is cashless and each time you make a purchase it will appear on your account which can be checked via your stateroom TV or by visiting Guest Services.
So when we cruise, my kids love to visit the shops onboard and pick out some special Disney Cruise Line souvenirs. (Pricing is similar to what you find at the Disney Parks and Disney Stores.) Other items you may want to budget for include spa treatments, arcade games, specialty beverages, Port Adventures (pricing listed online), photographs and tips. For a seven-night voyage, you will want to bring a few dollar bills for room service tips and tips for the porters, and you will also want to plan for your tips for the amazing crew. For the two of you, you can budget $168.00 for
gratuities which will be distributed between your dining room servers, head server, and stateroom host/hostess. Also, if you plan on going ashore, you may want to bring some cash along for souvenirs you may find.
I hope this helps, Jessica. Please write back if you have any other questions about your voyage!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
