Welcome aboard, Erin! Sailing with
Disney Cruise Line means leaving your troubles back home and setting sail with Mickey to relax, unwind, be entertained, and play, all the while exploring some amazing ports of call in between!
You'll be waited on from morning to night! No making your own bed, no setting the table, no cooking, cleaning, or chores! Ah, life at sea with Disney! I wish I could sail all the time! But, when you want to toss in a quick load of
laundry, it's easy to do. I bring my own little individual laundry detergent sample packs, but detergent is also available in the self-serve launderettes onboard and can be charged to your stateroom account too. I have found that on seven-night sailings, the first few days there aren't many guests using the laundry rooms, but around day four there are more. If you pick the right time, though, you can easily start a wash load, then check back to transfer it to the dryer. Early in the morning is great, and in the later afternoon too. Irons and ironing boards are available there too, so if you find that you're unpacking and have some wrinkly clothes, it's an easy remedy!
The Dream and the Fantasy both have launderettes on Decks 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. The one on Deck 9 is in the Forward of the ship near stateroom 9500, with seven washers and seven dryers. However, if you're in the Aft or Midship, taking one flight up or down can be closer to the laundry rooms with two washers and dryers each on Decks 8 or 10 instead. Deck 8's launderette is in the Aft near stateroom 8150, and Deck 10's launderette is Midship near stateroom 10572.
Now, if you really want to get away from it all and let Disney take care of all of the details, full service laundry pickup is available as well for an additional cost.
Have a magical cruise, Erin!
