    Hello! We are taking our 2 children 4 & 5 to Disney for the 1st time in October! What days would you suggest for the parks and should we do them in any order? We have a 10 day park/water hopper pass. Thanks in advance!!

    Heather,

    October is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! I will be doing the same!

    When it comes to what park to visit on what day, I have a few rules to live by;

    • I like to go to the Magic Kingdom on my first and last day
    • I like to consider what park has Extra Magic Hours. With kids of your age (mine are 4 and 6), and at a slower time of year like October, I would recommend that you consider going to parks with Morning Extra Magic Hours, but not ones with the evening ones. Since my kids really don't stay up that late, those are a waste for us, and avoiding the parks that have them means avoiding some of the larger crowds.
    • Avoid Epcot on Friday through Sunday. The Food and Wine Festival brings in a lot of local crowds, so visit that park on other days of the week.
    Finally, if it were me I would go with this kind of a split of days;

    • 4 days Magic Kingdom
    • 2 days Epcot
    • 2 days Hollywood Studios
    • 1 day Animal Kingdom
    • 1 day Water Park/Downtown Disney
    If you would like me to offer a more specific order, send me another question from my bio page and tell me the dates you are going to be there, and if you like the split of time that I recommended.

    Have a magical vacation!
