We are taking our boys, 12 and 9, to DisneyWorld for a second time and will be there over the New Years holiday. I know it will be crowded but we are all excited! What do you recommend for ringing in the New Year?

    Hi Anna,

There is nothing more special than the Walt Disney World Resorts the week between Christmas and New Years. I have never seen it so busy but with some planning you can manage the crowds and enjoy your vacation.

When we were there, we spent the day in Magic Kingdom. I can not think of a better place to ring in the New Year than Magic Kingdom. This is one day of the year when the park can reach capacity. We made sure we were in the park by early afternoon and did not leave until after the New Year was underway. We watched the fireworks from Frontierland and then headed back to our resort.

When you are vacation this week, ask your children what attractions they really want to do. Have them pick three a day and then visit those attractions. This helps keeps disappointments to a minimum.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
