We are taking back to back cruises to Norway, Russia, Estonia, Sweden and Finland. Everything on the web advises that the only place we would need a visa in order to explore on our own is Russia. I want to make sure that is in fact true. Thank you!

    Ahoy, Mary!
Wow! What a fabulous European voyage you have to look forward to this summer on the Disney Magic! I know you can't wait to venture into these amazing ports of call to explore the history, rich culture and picturesque landscapes. When traveling to foreign ports, it's important to know what is required for entry so you do not have to worry about any issues once you arrive. I looked on both the Disney Cruise Line Passport and Travel Documentation page and the travel.state.gov website to see what you will need for your upcoming vacation. You are correct that Russia does require a entry visa in order to explore on your own that must be obtained before you arrive from the Russian embassy or consulate. The other countries on your cruise, Norway, Estonia, Sweden and Finland are all apart of the Schengen Agreement. This means you can enter the country up to 90 days within a six-month time frame as a tourist without a visa. At this time, your valid U.S. passport will be all you need for these other stops.
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mary! Please let us know if you think of any additional questions about your European adventure!
    Have a magical day!
