We are taking out almost 8 month old to Disney World for her first trip this February! What are your best vacation tips for first time parents? My husband and I are WDW "regulars," but this is a new ball game with our infant daughter.

Welcome to planDisney, Sydney! I'm happy to answer your question!

I brought both my girls to Walt Disney World Resort when they were infants, and while it is a magical age and time to bring them, it does require some planning! Here are my top 5 tips for having a magical day:

    1. Baby Care Centers: Utilize these sites when you're at the theme parks! Not only do they provide large changing table areas, but they also have private rooms for feedings, a small kitchen area to prep bottles, and baby necessities available for purchase, such as diapers and wipes.
    2. Stick to baby's schedule: If your baby is not a stroller napper, and you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, head back to the resort for afternoon naps, and return later in the day.
    3. Overpack the diaper bag if you aren't planning on returning to the resort during the day.
    4. Place a ribbon or big name tag on your stroller to find it easier in stroller parking. Cast Members may move strollers around to accommodate more strollers.
    5. One character meal! Some of my favorites include The Crystal Palace and Garden Grill Restaurant.

Since this is your little Princess' first visit to Walt Disney World, stop by Guest Relations to pick up a "My 1st Visit!" button! For a small fee, you can get it personalized at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park. Celebrate this monumental visit by purchasing Memory Maker, where you will get digital downloads of all photos taken during your visit!

Sydney, I hope all of this information was helpful! Thank you for visiting planDisney! If you need additional pixie dust planning for your upcoming visit, send me questions anytime. You've got a friend in me!
