At a table service restaurant with the Disney Dining Plan - if my daughter is not that excited about the regular adult menu, will she be allowed to just order chicken strips/fries from the kiddie menu instead? She is 13 years old. Thank you!

    Hi, Jennifer!

It is wonderful to hEAR from you again! You are just a few days away from diving into your magical vacation with Mickey and the gang. Can you believe it? I know you cannot wait to experience fall at the Walt Disney World Resort real soon.

Jennifer, I can relate to your question as my teen son has just started to expand his palate. When using the Disney Dining Plan, Guests ten and over are encouraged to order off the adult menu, but I recommend always asking your server if your daughter can find something she likes from the children's menu. An adult entitlement will need to be used, but the server may be able to bring a larger portion of the order. My family used the Disney Dining Plan this past July, and we found the servers very accommodating when we had questions about substitutions. I always believe it never hurts to ask! One other tip is to go ahead and preview all the dining menus, so your daughter can start thinking about her options now.

I hope you have a fantastic time, Jennifer! Enjoy indulging in all the delicious foods and drinks using your Disney Dining Plan. If you have any other last-minute questions, please let us know!
