Hello Jennifer!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m sorry you were having difficulty making your
Advance Dining Reservations. I am hoping at this point the issue has been fixed for you and you were able to make all your preferred reservations.
I have a few ideas of what may have happened, in case you run into this issue in the future. First, know that you don’t need to “switch” between different
Disney Resort Collection Hotel reservations, and in fact, there isn’t a way for you to do that. It is auto
magically done by the system. If you have what is known as a “split stay” when it comes to Advance Dining Reservations, each separate resort reservation is considered an individual trip rather than one big trip. You will need to book each segment of your trip separately, 60 days before the check-in at each resort. You won’t be able to book the entire stay across multiple resorts. In my case, I made Advance Dining Reservations for the first half of my trip last week, and since we will be moving resorts 60 days from today, this morning I had to book the second half of my trip. For your situation, if you were 60 days out from the first night, but 61 days away from your second resort, the system would not allow you to reserve that second set of days.
If you are still having difficulties making reservations, I recommend using the desktop computer rather than the Mobile App. Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the
My Disney Experience Mobile App on your phone. Updates can happen frequently, so it’s worthwhile checking now and again before your arrival.
Trying logging out and then logging back into My Disney Experience. This often fixes issues for me. Also make sure you are trying to make reservations on the right day, at the right time of day. Online reservations open at 6 AM Eastern, 60 days in advance. Depending on if months have 30 or 31 days, this can get folks confused. I like to use a website known as PS Calculator to double-check my dates. It is also easy to get confused with time zones. Currently, Florida is on Eastern Standard Time.
I hope you were able to book those important reservations, Jennifer. If you are still having challenges despite checking the ideas above, you may want to consider
calling website support for assistance. The Cast Members at Web Support are fantastic and saved me on several occasions! Hopefully, they could get your account in good order and able to book reservations.
Wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
