Hi there, Aimee! Welcome to planDisney! Oh my goodness, your girls are going to have the "BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!" I am so excited for you and your family, you all will have the merriest visit!
Walt Disney World Resort any time of year is magical, but visiting during the
holiday season, the magic is elevated to the jolliest level ever.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has one of my favorite Christmas trees during the holiday season, and you cannot forget to stop by and admire the life-size gingerbread house in the lobby as well! Disney's Magic Kingdom Park during the holiday season feels like you have even been transported in a holiday movie of the past, and there is nothing like walking down Main Street, U.S.A., and seeing the giant Christmas tree in its full glory! Since you all will be visiting on Christmas Day, I suggest starting your morning with a delicious breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and Friends at
The Crystal Palace! Mickey Waffles is always a magical way to start your day! I also suggest making a lunch or dinner reservation at
Cinderella's Royal Table or
Be Our Guest Restaurant as a finale to the most magical day at Walt Disney World.
Over at Disney's EPCOT Park, you have to take your girls to see
EPCOT Candlelight Processional! I suggest reserving a
dining package, that way you are guaranteed seating, as this is a highly popular event. This magical event tells the story of Christmas by a celebrity, with an impressive orchestra and choir singing beloved holiday songs. I suggest making a dining reservation at
Garden Grill Restaurant for this event, it is another chance to have a delicious meal with characters, and at Garden Grill Chip 'n' Dale and Pals are wonderful! While you are having the most magical day at EPCOT, enjoy delicious holiday food from around the world at the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, my favorite seasonal event! One of my favorite family activities to do is the
Holiday Cookie Stroll! Purchase a Festival Passport that will guide you to the kiosks within World Showcase that have different cookies. Once you collect five stamps for five cookies, you can bring the stamped Passport to Holiday Sweets & Treats and receive a specialty treat! Another fun family activity is
Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt at World Showcase. You can purchase a map and stickers to find the different traditions Olaf has found in each pavilion, then return to World Traveler at International Gateway and receive a special holiday keepsake for completion!
Aimee, I hope all of these magical suggestions help you with your holiday planning! I wish you and your family an early happy holiday, and have the jolliest visit to Walt Disney World!
