Ho Ho Ho Allison!
What a wonderful surprise! My husband and I did the same thing with our two oldest children - we woke them up early, and surprised them at the airport Christmas Eve morning. It was on that trip that we also became Disney Vacation Club members, such magical memories!
Christmastime at Walt Disney World is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! All of the Resorts are resplendent in holiday cheer, and we take a “Christmas Tour” of the Resorts to celebrate. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a spectacular Gingerbread Display. It is so big you can walk in it, and it smells divine! Another favorite is the
Holiday Sleigh Rides at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort that take you past awesome campsite holiday decorations.
You are staying at the perfect Resort for quick access to Magic Kingdom Park, and all of it’s
Holiday Magic! I will never forget the wonder in my daughter’s eyes as she watched Mickey & Minnie decked out in their Holiday finery at Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. And a holiday visit is not complete without a ride on the Jingle Cruise - plenty of yuletide cheer abounds!
Our most poignant Christmas tradition is the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. A celebrity narrator along with a magnificent choir and orchestra retell the story of Christmas, and I cry every time. We usually ensure our seating by combining it with a dining package, and it is a magical experience!
Allison, I wish you much chEAR ~ Rayna
