Surprising DD(6) and DS(4) with trip to WDW over Fall break. Not planning to tell them until the day we leave. WE will pick them up from school at lunch time and head to the airport. Would love to hear some of you creative ideas on how to surprise.

    Hi Amy,

I love that you are surprising your children with a trip to Walt Disney World!

I would go to a dollar or party store and pick up some Disney character items. I would then let them have their lunches adorned with Disney characters. You could say "Save space for a Mickey ice cream treat" or "Dinner with Cinderella" or any other fun meal you have planned.

You could also do a puzzle to have them build on the airplane. You can take a photo of Mickey or your children's favorite Disney character and make it into a puzzle. Many drugstore chain's photo centers have this option.

You could also wrap small Disney items into a ball in layers. Take one wrap it and then put another onto top to create layers of treats. When they treats are unwrapped, they will need to figure out where they are going.

If your children like to plan trips, grab a Disney World Resorts book for them so they can look at it prior to getting to the parks.

    Have a magical vacation!
    Beth
