Can you surf at Typhoon Lagoon? If so how and when do you sign up? Thanks!

    Cowabunga! Welcome to planDisney, Maureen!

It sounds like you and your party are ready to get soaked at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park!  Feeling brave enough to tackle the Crush 'n' Gusher? Want to splash in Ketchakiddee Creek? How about taking a relaxing soak along a lazy river that encircles the entire park? Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park just reopened a few days ago and Cast Members can't wait to "sea" you real soon!

When it comes to Surfing Programs at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, you're in luck.  There are actually two ways to reach the crest of the waves, one for beginners and one for our more experienced surfer dudes.  However, at the moment Learn to Surf Lessons are not up and running.  Today a Cast Member told me that they are "working to finalize" how and when these lessons will again become available to book.

Right now, Private Surf Sessions are available!  Private Surf Sessions are available both before park opening and after the park closes in the evening.  Instructors are provided if you would like them, and you can even add on food or professional photography packages.  Without having to worry about how to refuel you'll really have the time and energy to hang loose and focus on your surf style. Registration is available through the aforementioned link.

Depending on your surfer's level of experience you may want to reach out to a Cast Member with your arrival dates and to get the most recent updates on Learn to Surf Lessons.  Please call (407) 939-7529 or email WDPR.Surfing.Programs@Disney.com for even more information.

I hope you and your surfers are able to take full advantage of these amazing opportunities and that you come see us again soon!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
