Hi Amanda!
Welcome to planDisney! We are happy to have you here and thank you for bringing your question about room selection and location to us! Having planned several trips with family and organizing room reservations and locations, I'm happy to help! My family and I have stayed at almost every
Walt Disney Resort Collection hotel, and so I am well versed in the reservation process, and making the most out of your resort stay!
Once both parties have booked their respective Disney Resort Collection hotel reservations, you can then call
Disney Resort Reservations to request either connecting rooms or rooms that are in very close proximity to each other. This is not always a guarantee, so bear that in mind when making your request. Also, close proximity could be interpreted as within the same section of a resort, not necessarily next door or the same floor. Disney Cast Members at reservations will do their best to accommodate most requests, however, depending on the time frame, and the location, it may be difficult to coordinate. When you arrive at your resort, you can head to reception and see if your request was honored. You can also ask if there is an opportunity to be moved closer to the other party's room, again, if possible. The Cast Member may indicate that there is availability but that a wait time may be required for the rooms to be prepared. It is at your discretion should you choose to wait.
Disney Reservations Planning Tip: You can request room location on the
My Disney Experience App when completing your check-in before arrival. You can also indicate arrival time and whether room readiness or location is a priority for your party.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
